Jizo-ji Temple (Kyoto City) (地蔵寺 (京都市))

Jizo-ji Temple is a Buddhist temple belonging to the Pure Land Sect located in Katsura, Nishikyo Ward, Kyoto City. Its sango (literally, "mountain name"), which is the title prefixed to the name of a Buddhist temple, is Kuonzan. The principal image is Jizo Bosatsu. It is one of the temples on the Kyoto Six Jizo Pilgrimage.

History
The temple was said to have been founded by TAIRA no Kiyomori in 1157.
